I have been meaning to update this blog but had been busy, busy, busy.
Here are the most recent ones I have received.
1 – PRAGUE
I know this may be your quintessential scenic view of the city,
but I’m in love with Prague despite its imperfection. ^0^
The two pointing spires is the famous Tyn Church located along the old town.
These wonderful stamps were my favorite.
2 – GERMANY
I have been receiving quite a handful of this Schloss Ludwigs stamps already.
Frankly, It’s beginning to annoy me. I wish there were more variety of stamps.
This card was sent from a little town near Hamburg and there’s something calm about this picturesque card.
This pinkish structure is the WALLHAUS AM RESIDENZSCHLOSS in Darmstadt.
Hildesheim is another small town in Germany.
I’m not too keen with Multi-View cards,
but this was one was sent by a french girl studying in Germany
and in her card, she wrote a thing or two about the town’s history and her hobbies,
and all were written in french ! ^-^
Je suis tres heureux ! ^0^
This bright and colorful card was actually from Germany as well.
It is Lake of constance – or Bodensee in Deutsch.
and also a famous tourist attraction.
This is my first time to receive a card from a neighboring country.
Animals aren’t my thing really, but when I saw this cute little panda and the frosted snow.
Oh well, I can’t say no to that.
This one is definitely for keeps. ^0^
The stamps were an added bonus.
4 – NETHERLANDS
This sender recently visited the wonderful city of Florence and sent me this postcard from her recent travel.
This is a piece of Leonardo Da Vinci’s – The Annunciation. – one of the must see from the Uffizi Gallery.
needless to day, I ♥ love this card ! ^0^
From the Netherlands :
The sender gave me just what I was hoping for.
THE LUNCHEON OF THE BOATING PARTY by Auguste Renoir
I was so elated when I got this card!
definitely completed my otherwise stressful day.
This Russian sender is a translator and she wrote me a card in Chinese!
I couldn’t help but commend how good her grammar was.
6 – POLSKA : POLAND
This card took a long while before it arrived,
the sender even sent me a message if I have already received it.
Thankfully, it arrived safely despite the delay.
My first choo-choo train ! so happy too!
but the highlight were the handful of stamps attached.
I wish I can describe further the details of each one.
7 – USA
This Norman Rockwell post card though was my favorite.
This one was from my sister’s incoming from the US.
Unfortunately, some post office clerks here seem to be bitter and I don’t know if it’s intentional, but
they deliberately have to stamp those “violet marked dates” twice and almost beside the poor kid’s butt. 😦
I was a bit dismayed to receive a card in Russian, when I was clearly expecting one from Taiwan.
The sender, I think was doing swap cards and she received a lot of ehem ~ Ad cards from Russia.
10 – INDONESIA
This was an ad/self-printed-from-a-computer-using-bond-paper-card that was sent to my Sister from Indonesia,
I don’t need to post it here anymore …
She kept the stamps instead.
11- TEXAS, USA -AND- UKRAINE
This is a one of a kind card, featuring the old snow white and the seven dwarfs by a local artist.
Until my next post… soon!
